Coldwell Banker Doubles in Size, Plans Open House
QUARRYVILLE
– From appliance store to beautifully renovated real estate office, 309 West Fourth Street in Quarryville will soon be the new home of the Coldwell Banker HomeSale Services Group Quarryville office. In November 2006, Coldwell Banker HomeSale purchased the Martin Water Conditioning and Appliance Building. Since then, Coldwell Banker HomeSale has been in the process of extensive renovations including completely gutting the interior and constructing a beautiful new façade.

Many real estate companies today have moved to regional offices and closed local offices to save money. In contrast, Coldwell Banker HomeSale is doubling its office space in Quarryville. The new building is 4,300 square feet – over twice the size of their current Quarryville office which is just 2,000 square feet. In addition to the office space, 2,500 square feet of warehouse space in the back of the building is available for rent.

“While the national news is focused on the national statistics, our local housing markets are very healthy, unemployment is below 3% and mortgage rates are still very low on an historical basis,” said Rod Messick, Chief Financial Officer of Coldwell Banker HomeSale Services Group. “HomeSale has been using the more normalized market as an opportunity to attract both new and experienced agents who may have been working for companies that were marginally capitalized with weak business models. We believe both agents and clients want to work with a company that is a recognized leader.”

The new façade and interior renovations have converted the building into a beautiful modern office building.

“I am excited about the new office, not just because it is state of the art, but because it will allow us to do something we have not been able to do for years – bring in additional sales associates,” said Gary Schlectic, the manager of the Quarryville office.

For the last five years, the Quarryville office has been a “closed” office meaning they could not take on new sales associates. By more than doubling their space, they will be able grow their staff, provide job opportunities, and better serve the local real estate needs of the Quarryville area. In the future the Coldwell Banker Quarryville office will offer real estate classes for the convenience of the southern Lancaster trainees, saving them the hassle of coming the whole way to Lancaster for their courses.

HomeSale Settlement Services, HomeSale Insurance Services and HomeSale Mortgage Services will also be working out of the new office.

A grand opening ceremony will be help at 309 West Fourth Street in Quarryville at 9 a.m. on September 13 to make the move official.

On October 6th, Coldwell Banker HomeSale’s 2nd annual Chicken BBQ to benefit Habitat for Humanity will take place at the newly-opened Quarryville office. The cost is $5 for a half chicken and pick up time is from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Advanced tickets can be purchased at the new Quarryville office 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily or call Tom Kreider at 717-464-4700.
