Peja Stojakovic and IOCC Assist Disabled Children in Greece
BALTIMORE, MD -- All star basketball player Peja Stojakovic of the NBA’s New Orleans Hornets is partnering with International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) to provide mobility assistance to more than 160 disabled people in Thessaloniki, Greece. More than $200,000 in wheelchairs, including sports wheelchairs for disabled athletes, and other mobility devices and therapeutic equipment will be distributed in Thessaloniki from May 12 - 16, 2008.

Martin Marty Receives Special Award From Religion Communicators Council
CHANTILLY, VA -- One of America's
foremost interpreters of faith in public life was honored Saturday by the
Religion Communicators Council.
The Rev. Martin E. Marty, emeritus professor of religious history at
the University of Chicago and longtime columnist for The Christian Century,
received a special Wilbur Award for promoting open and appropriate public
discourse on religion.
Book of Buddhist Revelation Presented to the Library of Congress
WASHINGTON, DC -- H.H Dorje Chang
Buddha III, a Treasury of True Buddha-Dharma, a book that confers the most

the Library of Congress last week at an event attended by Members of

IOCC Expands
Work in Kosovo
BALTIMORE, MD --
International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) Saturday announced an expansion of its work in Kosovo to provide immediate assistance to isolated minority communities and long term development projects aimed at providing stability and cooperation. The expanded initiatives in Kosovo will provide continued support for families, including household items, support for agricultural projects and family gardens, and school supplies. The IOCC response will also offer assistance for schools and community centers in isolated communities.
