quickly
approaching for

who exhibited
beef at the
Keystone
International
Livestock
Exposition
(KILE). The
scholarships are
available
through the KILE

for $1,000 and
one for $500.
“It is very
gratifying to
see so many
young people
working hard to
become the next
generation of
agricultural
leaders through
excellence in
showmanship and
education,” said
Agriculture
Secretary Dennis
Wolff. “By
helping fund the
education of
these students,
we are growing
the future of
the $2 billion
beef industry
and agriculture
in
Pennsylvania.”
More than 200
junior beef
exhibitors
participate at
KILE annually.
The scholarship
was created to
recognize their
commitment to
the agricultural
industry and
provide an
additional
benefit by
helping them pay
for college. A
percentage of
the proceeds
raised from the
Youth Beef
Benefit Auction
at the 2007 KILE
have been
dedicated to the
Junior Beef
Exhibitor
Scholarship
Fund.

institution
(college,

involvement.
The two
recipients will
be recognized at
the 2008 KILE on
Friday, October
3, at the youth
