Churches Schedule Prayer Services

BART TOWNSHIP -- Churches in Lancaster County will hold prayer services tonight as community grieve and try to make sense of yesterday's Amish school shooting in Nickel Mines. Yesterday a lone gunman, 32 year old Charles Carl Roberts IV, murdered four Amish girls in their one-room schoolhouse along White Oak Road.

Locally, the Middle Octorara Presbyterian, the Mt Eden Lutheran and the Georgetown United Methodist will hold a community prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Georgetown United Methodist, along Route 896.

Elsewhere in the County:

* 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Worship Center Ministries building at 2384 New Holland Pike, near Leola. Singer Michael W. Smith will be a guest at the service.

* 6 pm-7 pm at the Hershey Mennonite Church at 401 Hershey Church Road in Kinzers.
