Teddy Bears and Flowers Left at Roadside Memorial
NICKEL MINES -- A roadside memorial has developed at Mine Road and White Oak Road, just up the hill from last week's tragic shooting. Yellow Police tape and "no parking" signs still adorn the normally tranquil hamlet. Last Monday, Charles Carl Roberts, IV, the son of a former police officer, shot 10 Amish school girls at the West Nickel Mines School. Five of those girls died.

The community still struggles to understand as onlookers continue to gawk as they try to catch a glimpse. A constable stands guard near the school limiting access.
