Auction to be Auctioned Itself By Jeanne Ruczhak-Eckman
NICKEL MINES -- The Nickel Mines Auction House will go on the auction block itself this month. On April 20, the Auction House will be sold to the highest bidder.
It was placed in the limelight six months ago today when it became a mini tent city and backdrop during the media frenzy during the days that followed Charles Roberts murder of five young Amish girls at the schoolhouse down the road.
With only two commercial auctions remaining, owner Samuel Fisher refused to comment on the upcoming closure and auction.
The auction will be held at 7 p.m. on site. It is located at 1904 Mine Road. It is at the intersection of Mine Road and White Oak Road. It is an active licensed auction house. The license was first issued August 5, 1996 and remains in good standing.
