Global Warming: Acting Locally
GWYNEDD VALLEY -- Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future is sponsoring a session on global warming and what can be done. The Saturday, October 27, session is titled, "Global Warming: Rising to the Challenge by Acting Locally."

Learn the latest on federal and state legislation and global warming science. Discuss what Pennsylvania can do to slow global warming. Network with other activists from across the state and region. Hear experts and policymakers, including: John Carr, Secretary, Department of Social Development and World Peace of the United States Catholic Bishops' Conference Richard Alley , Evan Pugh Professor of Geosciences, Penn State University.

The session is Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gwynedd Mercy College in Gwynedd Valley (Montgomery County). The site is handicapped-accessible and served by Septa regional rail. Continental breakfast will be available onsite at 9:30 a.m. The session is sponsored by: Citizens for Pennsylvania's Future (PennFuture) and co-sponsored by: The Mission and Values Committee of Gwynedd Mercy College and The Pennsylvania Interfaith Climate Change Campaign.
