Cutler's Commentary: Primary is Approaching
By Bryan Cutler, State Representative, 100th Legislative District HARRISBURG -- With the Primary Election approaching on Tuesday, April 22, it is time to register to vote. Those who would like to participate in the primary must be registered by March 24. Remember, because Pennsylvania has a closed primary system, you can only vote in the election of the party for which you are registered.
Another important election deadline is on April 15, when civilian absentee ballot applications are due. The last day for County Boards of Elections to receive completed absentee ballots is April 18. If you are a first-time voter or are voting for the first time in a new location, you will need to present identification before voting.
