Cutler Invites WWII Veterans to Attend Free Bus Trip to National Memorial
QUARRYVILLE
-- State Rep. Bryan Cutler announced this week that his office is providing a bus trip to visit the World War II Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. at no charge for World War II veterans living in the 100th Legislative District.
The bus trip, sponsored by The Original I. Diller Miller Monument Company and Cutler, is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, and will depart from the Solanco High School in Quarryville at 7:30 a.m. The bus is scheduled to return to Solanco High School by 2:15 p.m. that same day. Lunch will be provided at no charge by Musser's Markets.
Attendees will have an hour to visit the National World War II Memorial, which commemorates the sacrifice and celebrates the victory of the of the WWII generation.
"I am privileged to participate in honoring the veterans who fought for our freedom," Cutler said. "I am happy that we were able to provide a trip such as this, and it is the least we can do to honor the sacrifice of the men and women of this country."
Seating is limited on a first come, first served basis. The bus is wheelchair accessible.
Interested veterans residing in the 100th Legislative District should call Cutler's Quarryville office at 717-786-4551 to reserve a seat.
The 100th Legislative District includes Bart, Colerain, Conestoga, Drumore, East Drumore, Eden, Fulton, Leacock, Little Britain, Manor, Martic, Paradise, Providence and Salisbury townships, and the boroughs of Christiana, Quarryville, and Strasburg.
