Kathryn Marion Carroll
Kathryn Marion Carroll, 79, of South Peters Creek Road, Peach Bottom, PA, died on Friday at home where she resided with her daughter and son in law. She was born in Federalsburg, MD, daughter of the late Harry and Rosella Silkworth Hawes. Kathryn grew up during the depression, graduated from AI Dupont High School, DE, owned and operated Kayes Beauty Salon, DE. She also owned and operated the Whipporwill Inn in Conowingo, MD. She is survived by her daughter Laura, wife of Francisco Medina of Peach Bottom, PA, 3 grandchildren; April Eldridge, Crystal D’Allesandro and Maricella Medina, 3 step-sons and 1 step- daughter, her brother Harry, husband of Barbara Hawes, 8 great grandchildren and 2 nieces. She was predeceased by a son, James N. Fowler and a step-son. The interment at Gracelawn Cemetery, DE will be private. Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA.
