Raymond Eugene Greer
Raymond Eugene Greer, 69, of Shelbyville, TN, formerly of Drumore, PA entered into eternal rest on August 3, 2008 after a short illness. Born in Lancaster County he was the son of the late Montie E. and Maude E. Greer of Peach Bottom. He is survived by his ex-wife, Wanda L. Morrison of Martinsburg, WV and their four children Raymond Eugene Greer, Jr. of Quarryville, Melissa A. Deming of Wellsville, NY, Robin L. Hess of Drumore, and Roberta J. Patton of Old Hickory, TN; two sisters Catherine Miller of Gap and Phyllis Comer of Shelbyville, TN; 8 grandsons; 6 granddaughters and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a brother Daniel Greer. Mr. Greer was a veteran of the US Army and served in Alaska in 1964 during the earthquake. He was a member of Laborer’s International Union of North America, local #1167 of York, PA for 26 years and spent most of his career at Peach Bottom Nuclear Power Plant. Mr. Greer loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was a lifelong avid NASCAR fan. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service from Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Saturday, August 23 at 1:00PM.
