Jeanette G. Hambleton, age 81, of Conestoga View, formerly of 76 Mt. Hope Road, Quarryville, died Saturday evening at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the widow of W. Herbert Hambleton who died January 18, 1985. Jeanette was born in Sturgills, NC, a daughter of the late George Thomas and Lillie Duncan Sheets. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and participated with United Methodist Women. She was also a member of Quarryville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and the International Kings Daughters Circle, Drumore. Mrs. Hambleton was employed by Tidy Products in Quarryville for 24 years as a sewing machine operator. She is survived by a son C. Thomas married to Susan Huddleson Hambleton of Quarryville; two grandchildren, Rebecca and Steven and 2 great- granddaughters. She was predeceased by 3 brothers; Dell, Mac and Vernon Sheets. Funeral services will be from Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 1530 Slate Hill Road on Thursday, March 20 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Cheryl Zegers officiating. There will be a viewing, Wednesday, March 19, from 7:00-8:30 at Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 E. State St., Quarryville, PA and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
