L. "Pete" HowardPaul Lester “Pete” Howard, age 77, of 406 South Church Street, Quarryville, PA died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Conestoga View, Lancaster. He and his wife Gladys Eva Hassel Howard were married March 19, 1949. Mr. Howard was born in Kirkwood, a son of the late William J. and Molly Barrett Howard. Paul had worked as a farm store manager for Eastern States, Agway, and Carnation. He later was employed as a loan officer for Farm Credit. He was a member of Elizabethville Lions Club and Wesley United Methodist Church, Quarryville. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and was a baseball enthusiast. Surviving beside his wife are 3 children, Paul married to Lisa of Haddonfield, NJ, Janet married to Bruce Brenan of Middletown, PA, Bill Howard of Lancaster; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Herr, and a daughter Patricia Hasircoglu. Funeral services will be held from the Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, Pa on Monday at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Blake Deibler officiating.
