Katherine H. Jackson
Katherine H. Jackson, 86, formerly of Peach Bottom, Pa., died Friday, May 30, 2008 at Village Vista Nursing Center, Lancaster. She was the wife of the late Elmer Jackson who died in 1996. Katherine was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Peach Bottom. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and her family. Katherine was born in Dubuque, IA, daughter of the late Anton and Freda Mareski Pfeiffer. She is survived by; daughter Rosetta Hemmeberry of Dubuque, IA, son Lee married to Marjorie Jackson of Lancaster, daughter Sharon married to Raymond Pfeiffer of Dubuque, IA, son Patrick married to Rosemary Jackson of Bel Air, MD, son Richard Jackson, Peach Bottom, son Gary Jackson of North East, MD, daughter Debra married to George Ellis III of Savannah, GA, son David married to Nancy Jackson of Lancaster, daughter Cindy Pyle, FL., 14 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren , and her daughter-in-law Shirley Jackson of Lancaster. She was predeceased by her son Lonnie Jackson. The Funeral Service will be held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 1530 Slate Hill Road, Peach Bottom on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Cheryl Zegers officiating. The burial will be in Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Village Vista Nursing Center, 1941 Benmar Dr., Lancaster, PA 17603.
