Bessie Langley
Bessie G. Langley, age 73, loving known by all as “Mom- Mom”, of 757-D Drytown Road, Holtwood died peacefully early Sunday morning (April 13, 2008) at her residence following a brief illness. She was the widow of Freddie “Shack” Shackelford. Born in Zanesville, OH, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine Humphreys Evans. She had been employed as a Home Health Care nurses aide. Bessie enjoyed bingo, cooking, and doing word search puzzles. She is survived by 4 children, Jerry Langley, Kay Langley, Carl “Pudge” Forrester, Elizabeth “Sissy” married to Charles Farmer; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 8 sisters; and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be held from the Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Thursday at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Bethesda United Methodist Cemetery.
