Robert G. Lee
Robert G. Lee, 78, of Quarryville, Pa, died Friday, August 22, 2008 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Ruth Phipps Lee. They had celebrated 48 years of marriage. Robert was retired after 44 years from P.P. & L. as a power plant instructor. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Quarryville, and had held many positions on Boards and Committee’s for the church. Robert was a member of F. & A.M. #156 Quarryville, Lancaster Chapter #43 where he had served as chaplain and was a past secretary, Lancaster Lodge of Perfection, and Harrisburg Consistory. He had served as the secretary for the Holtwood Ten Pin League, and had volunteered for both meals on wheels and at the Lancaster General Hospital. Robert had also served as secretary of the Huffnagle Park Committee, Quarryville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons; Robert, married to Sandra Lee, Quarryville, Roger, married to Julie Lee of Lancaster, 2 grandchildren; Jennifer and Bobby, 2 step grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, 3 sisters; Betty Shelly, Souderton, Pa, Florence Hauck and Patricia A. Lee both of Telford, Pa. Friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the Memorial United Methodist Church, 101 S. Hess Street, Quarryville. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment in the Quarryville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert’s memory may be made to the Memorial United Methodist Church Benevolent Fund.
