Dorothy M. Longer
Dorothy M. Longer, 84, of 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, PA, formerly of Lancaster, entered into rest on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. She was the wife of the late Clarence H. Eller who died in 1953, and the late Walter S. Longer, Sr, who died in 2005. Dorothy had worked as an assembler, at the former RCA Co., Lancaster, and a seamstress at the former Tidy-Kins Products, Quarryville. Dorothy enjoyed all family activities, especially picnics. She was a member of Lampeter Church of the Brethren, Lampeter.

Dorothy was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Ralph T. and Edna Kraatz McComsey. She is survived by her daughter’s; Charlotte, wife of Gary Myer of Elizabethtown, PA, Lucille E. wife of Thomas Burns of Heartwood, VA, her son Leslie R. husband of Wanda Eller of Pequea, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, step son Walter S. Longer, Jr., Lancaster, step daughter Nancy J. Kauffman Lititz, sister Helen M. Rohrer, Holtwood, 4 step grandchildren, several step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by grandson Dennis Eller and step grandson Rob Kauffman. The Funeral Service will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 1:30 PM with Pastor John D. Hostetter officiating. The burial will be in Mechanic Grove Brethren Cemetery. A closed casket visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:30-1:30 PM.
