Sarah June Mowery
On January 24, 2008 Sarah June Mowery began her eternal life with The Lord while in her Mommy and Daddy's arms. Named after the late Sara June Whitney Gildersleeve (great-grandmother), Sarah was born at The Chester County Hospital on June 9, 2004 and lived all of her three and a half short years in Buck, Pennsylvania.

Our little precious princess was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor in October 2005 at only 16 months old. Since then she had had many appointments, surgeries, and treatments. On Tuesday, January 22 she once again traveled to The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia to have a tumor removed. Her surgery went well with no problems. Once out of surgery Sarah's little heart could not regulate her blood pressure or her heart rate. So many wonderful doctors spent hours fighting for Sarah, but in the end her body lost the fight.

Before her surgery Sarah June was so full of life, she attended pre-school at Wee Friends Nursery School on Mondays and she kept herself busy playing with her mommy, daddy, and all of her loving brothers and sisters. Sarah loved music; while driving in the car she would sing along to songs she knew, we all loved hearing her pretty voice. At home when she listened to music she loved to dance around the kitchen; sometimes we would lift her up and spin her around like a ballerina. Her beautiful blond hair would fly through the air and she would laugh. Recently, she loved putting puzzles together. She could do them all by herself, but she loved doing them with her family, especially her Daddy. She learned to hide the last piece so she could shout, " I got last piece!" Sarah also loved people. She loved giving hugs and kisses; her heart was kind, loving, and generous. Sarah continues to live through the hearts of so many including, her Mommy, Kimberly Ann (Gildersleeve) Mowery, and her Daddy, Dennis Ray Mowery, of Quarryville, Pa; her elder brothers, Preston (a.k.a. Pudess), Nicholas (a.k.a. Coleless), Jared, and Stephen; her sisters Maddie, and Kathleen; her maternal grandparents, David I. and Matjorie A. (Bean) Lied, and William E. and Marilyn (Halsey) Gildersleeve; her paternal grandparents, Eugene R. and Catherine M. (Stefanovige) Mowery; her great¬grandfather Robert J. Bean; her large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins; her many family friends, Dr. Peter Phillips and all of her caring doctors and nurses at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and of course all of those hearts she touched around the Quarryville Community.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at 12:00 Noon, from the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA.
