Elsie Grace Rice
Elsie Grace Rice, age 88, of 146 Main Street, New Providence died Thursday afternoon at her residence following a brief illness. She was the widow of William B. Rice, Sr. who died April 31, 1980. Mrs. Rice was born in New Providence a daughter of the late William and Ella Maude Smith Gleisner. A homemaker who enjoyed quilting, she was a member of New Providence Church of God. Elsie is survived by a son William B. Jr., married to Vicki of New Providence; two daughters, Joan L. married to David Comfort of Holtwood, Betty Ann married to Maurice Waters of New Providence; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and a sister Helen Brown of Lancaster. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 7th at 11:00AM from the Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, Pa with Pastor Lawrence Metzler officiating. Interment will follow in New Providence Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00AM until the time of service. Kindly omit flowers.
