Haines Rineer
Haines E. Rineer, age 75, of 71 Taylor Drive, Ronks, PA died early Friday morning
(May 23) at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness. He and his wife Doris J. Detwiler Rineer celebrated 57 years of marriage this past October. Haines was born in Quarryville, a son of the late Paul F. and Vivian Oatman Rineer. Haines retired in 1995 from PennDOT as a foreman after 32 years of service. In retirement, Haines worked as a small engine and lawn mower repairman. He was a member of Mt. Eden Lutheran Church, Quarryville. He also belonged to the Strasburg Sportsman’s Association and the Order of Croaking Frogs in Quarryville. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed going to the mountains, hunting, and spending time with his family.
Surviving beside his wife are 5 children, Robert H. married to Joy Posey Rineer of Quakertown, Joan L. married to C. William Frey of Quarryville, Glenna J. married to William D. Ray, III, D. Sue married to James R. Spade of Lancaster, Deborah L. married to Charles Moncrief of Mifflintown; 10 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother David married to Donna Rineer of Quarryville; and a sister Dorothy married to Robert Shissler of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Glenn and a sister Linda Wade.
Funeral services will be held from the Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday at 11 a.m.. Interment will follow in Riverview Burial Park.
