Bessie Watson
Bessie L. Watson, age 82, of 72 McKelvey Lane, Holtwood, died Friday afternoon (August 15, 2008) at her residence following a lengthy illness. She and her husband Howard William Watson, Sr. were married 62 years on November 15, 2007. Bessie was born in Broomall, PA a daughter of the late Edward William and Elsie A. Martin Langley. A homemaker, she was a member of Garden City Chapel in Wallingford, PA. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and knitting. Surviving beside her husband are two sons, Howard W. Watson, Jr. married to Debra J. , and Richard E. Watson married to Lisa; four grandchildren, Richard E. Watson, Jr., Krystle L. Watson, Elisabeth Ann Watson, Matthew E. Watson. Bessie was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held from Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, August 20th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Philadelphia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
