Gun Laws Need to Be Enforced
I agree with the law proposed by the Governor Edward Rendell , that a mandatory 20 years for shooting at a police officer with a firearm.

How ever, we have gun laws here in the commonwealth and in title 18 us code, that also give mandatory sentencing such as a convicted felon possession of a fire arm or how about the use of a fire arm to commit a crime that are routinely bartered away in courts every day to cut a deal and help with the back log in the courts and prison over crowding.

If a law was passed ensuring that gun laws could not be arbitrated away, and that mandatory meant mandatory, then and only then we the citizens and tax payers of this commonwealth will feel safe.

After all, why have laws and make laws that don't mean anything, when you raise a child, and you say no or else, if the or else don't happen, then why say anything in the first place.

Just my two cents....
