Trooper John Lyons was investigating a crash in front of 372 Ashville Road Friday just before 8 p.m. Keen and her son, Christopher Paul Wiggin, approached the scene from their nearby home. Neither were involved in the crash. Keen began screaming obscenities at bystanders and at Tpr. Lyons. She refused to leave the scene. Tpr. Lyons began to place her under arrest for Disorderly Conduct but she resisted.
Her son then got between Tpr. Lyons and Keen, shoving the Trooper. Wiggin, who is employed by the US Navy, was then arrested for Disorderly Conduct. While he was being taken into custody, Keen jumped up on Tpr. Lyons back and began striking him. She was subdued by EMTs on the scene while Tpr. Lyons dealt with her son.
Both Keen and her son were arrested for Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct. Wiggin was also charged with Harassment and Keen was charged with Aggravated Assault. Keen was committed to Lancaster County Prison Saturday by District Justice Stuart Mylin in Quarryville.
