Gas Stolen From
Vehicles in Providence
PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP -- Two Providence Township residents
recently reported fuel stolen. Paul Funk III, of Mount Hope
School Road, reported to State Police someone had stolen gas
from his vehicle. Someone used unknown Methods, according to
Tpr. James Spencer, to take five gallons of gas from Funk's
vehicle. With gas hovering at $4 per gallon for 87 octane, the
value can easily be determined at approximately $20. The
incident occurred between June 19 and June 21.
During the same time period, Tpr.
Spencer was called to 91 Schoolhouse Road for a similar report.
James Eisenberger reported that someone had taken 400 gallons of
diesel fuel from his property. Tpr. Spencer described the fuel
as "Exceed 500 diesel fuel."
