-- The State Police were at 2019 Susquehannock Drive Monday night serving two bench warrants. While talking to the prisoners on the road next to the patrol car, a 1989 Buick Century drove past traveling south.
 
Quarryville Man Arrested for DUI
EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP
-- Donald Ray Smith, 27 of Quarryville, was stopped for on Lincoln Highway - Route 30 - in the area of Bowman Road for speeding by Tpr. Cody Clark.
 
Peach Bottom Man Arrested for DUI
PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP
-- Daniel Lucena, 23 of Peach Bottom, was stopped for traffic violation on Route 272 at Mt. Airy Road by Tpr. Koebley. Lucena was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). The traffic stop occurred at 2:39 a.m. on Thursday, June 26.
 
Kirkwood Man Strikes Pole, Escapes Injury
EAST DRUMORE TOWNSHIP
-- Christopher Ferguson, 19 of Kirkwood, was headed east on Route 372 last week when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a telephone pole.
 
Oxford Woman Arrested for DUI
FULTON TOWNSHIP
-- Patricia Graham, 41 of Oxford, was driving through the parking lot at 2006 Lancaster Pike last week when she passed out. After contact with Graham, Tpr. James Spencer arrested her for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. The incident occurred at 5:58 p.m. on June 18.
 
Providence Woman Victim of Theft

-- A New Providence woman fell victim to theft last month when someone used her credit cards to withdraw funds.
 
Cyclist Hurt in Hit and Run
EAST DRUMORE TOWNSHIP
-- State Police were called out to Dry Wells Road Sunday morning for a vehicle accident.
 
Trespassing Call Leads to Juvenile Charged for Marijuana
EAST DRUMORE TOWNSHIP
-- State Police responded to the 700 block of Center Road for a report of trespassing after an ATV was found on the property. While investigating, Tpr. Jared Fluck found several marijuana plants in the area of the ATV.
 
Burglars Strike Water Authority
FULTON TOWNSHIP
-- Burglars struck the Chester County Water Authority, according to Tpr. Christopher Cope. Someone forcible opened the front doors of a storage trailer and removed numerous tools. The tools belonged to Atlantic Subsea, Inc out of Bridgeport, NJ. The incident occurred between May 22 and May 27. Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police at 717-299-7650.
 
Construction Trailer Damaged Overnight
EDEN TOWNSHIP
-- A construction trailer owned by Paul Risk Associates was vandalized overnight. The trailer was located at 746 Valley Road in Eden Township.
 
Stolen License Plate E-Mail Is Hoax
HARRISBURG
-- The Pennsylvania State Police are advising citizens that an e-mail circulating in Pennsylvania warning individuals that license plates are being stolen from vehicles in order to steal gasoline is a hoax.
 
Holtwood Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure
MARTIC TOWNSHIP
-- State Police investigated an incident of indecent exposure and criminal trespass at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 7 on Drytown Road. William g. Cooper, 40, entered his neighbor's property and committed a lewd act, according to Tpr. Samuel Laureto. Appropriate charges will be filed.

-- State Police are seeking information on individuals featured in a newly updated “10 most wanted fugitive poster,” which is available online, announced Commissioner Jeffrey B. Miller. The poster can be viewed by clicking the online tip submission link at www.psp.state.pa.us

STATE COLLEGE -- The Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, other state departments, and emergency officials from counties across the state today discussed ways to improve communications among emergency responders during the second annual PA Interop Conference.
 
Little Britain Business Robbed
LITTLE BRITAIN TOWNSHIP
-- Gasoline. A Mulitmeter. A power drill. Copper wire. These are the items that were stolen last week from Brown Bros Drilling. According to Tpr. Jon Smith, approximately 75 gallons of gas was taken. The power drill was a Dewalt portable power drill. A half spool of copper wire was also stolen.
 
Police Investigate Criminal Mischief

-- State Police investigated an incident of criminal mischief in which a mailbox was damaged. The mailbox belonged to 53 year old Douglas Richard Beats of 500 Truce Road. The incident occurred sometime between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday, June 1.
Crash Closes Oak Bottom Road

-- A mid-afternoon crash closed down Oak Bottom Road between Route 222 (Fourth Street) and Route 372 (Buck Road) Wednesday, July 2. A motorcycle was traveling west on Buck Road when a pickup hauling a trailer crossed over Buck Road heading north on Oak Bottom Road. The two collided in the northbound lane of Buck Road.

-- The explosion Thursday morning was heard a mile away, according to Tpr. Donna Harrison.

Fulton Man Charged with Harassment

-- A Fulton Township man has been charged with Harassment. Mark Slobodjian struck Matthew Sawyers in the face twice and verbally threatened him.

Man Found Dead in Home
PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP
-- A Providence man was found dead in his home at 768 Pennsy Road last week. Benjamin Franklin Herr, 81, died in his home from what appeared to be natural causes, according to Tpr. Jared Fluck. Herr was found on June 19.

-- Amy Cahill, 19 of Peach Bottom, was traveling west on Solanco Road when she attempted to negotiate a sharp right curve and lost control of her 1995 Toyota Celica.

-- Robert Eugene Kershner, Jr. faces charges for assaulting his wife Sunday evening.

-- State Police were called out to a one vehicle crash along Route 472 Saturday which sent a Quarryville man to the hospital.

New Providence Man Charged with DUI

-- Kyle Hoffman, 24 of New Providence, was stopped for a stop sign violation by Tpr. Donn Reid on Main Street at Truce Road. Hoffman was arrested at the scene for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and related charges, including possession of an open container. Charges were filed with District Justice Stuart Mylin in Quarryville. The incident occurred at 9:10 p.m. on June 12. Hoffman was driving a 1987 blue Ford F150 at the time.

Lancaster Man Crashes, to Be Charged with DUI

-- A Lancaster man crashed his silver 2005 Toyota Matrix on Route 222 just north of Solanco Road last Saturday and will face charges of DUI (Driving Under the Influence) and other traffic offences.

Statues Broken in East Drumore

-- Someone broke two statues belonging to Judy Keller on Sunday. Keller, who lives at 789 Church Road reported the Criminal Mischief to Tpr. Laudermilch. The incident occurred between midnight and 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 8. The two statues were valued at $30, according to Tpr. Laudermilch.

Teen Charged in Numerous Local Burglaries, Thefts

-- A 17 year old male from Peach Bottom has been charged in eight separate incidents of burglary and theft which occurred in Drumore, Providence, Fulton and Little Britain Townships.

-- State Police are investigating an incident in which someone cut the fuel line of a GMC truck belonging to Danny William Hodgson.

Bart Woman Burglarized

-- State Police were called to the residence of Sandra Lee Miller, of 4579 White Oak Road, this week for a report of a burglary. Someone had entered an open shed in the rear of Miller's property and removed a red three-wheel ATV as well as miscellaneous hand tools in a red toolbox. The ATV, according to Tpr Samuel Laureto, is a 1982 Honda 185-S.

Ex-Boyfriend Charged With Criminal Trespass, Mischief

-- Brian Lee Davis, 37 of Peach Bottom, arrived at his ex-girlfriend's home at 4:10 a.m. Monday and began knocking on her bedroom window. When 34 year old Jennifer Strouth did not answer, Davis went around front and started knocking on her front door.

Willow Street Man Arrested for DUI

-- Steven Robert Bowers, 52 of Willow Street, was observed driving erratically Sunday morning.
